On his way Bheema saw a huge monkey resting on his path, blocking his way.  Bheema asks for the monkey to clear the way.  The monkey does not oblige.  The angered Bheema talks high and mighty about his powers as the son of Vayu.  Bheema’s words had no impact on the monkey, instead, the monkey challenges Bheema to lift its tail and continue towards his destination.  Bheema feels humiliated and tries to lift the tail, but to his surprise, he is not able to move the tail of the monkey.  Bheema tries several times but, will not be able to move the monkey tail.  Then, Bheema accepts his defeat and pleads with the monkey to tell him who he was, as he is not just an ordinary monkey.  The Monkey says “ Bheema, I am the Hanuman, your brother.  The path ahead of the flower search is dangerous.  I will show you the pond from where you can collect the flower”.

Bheema hugs Lord Hanuman and requests him to show his real form. Then Lord Hanuman obliges Bheema and shows his viswaroopam. Then Lord Hanuman blessed Bheema and said the following” When you roar like a lion in the battlefield, my voice shall join yours and strike terror in the hearts of your enemies.  I will be there on the flag of the chariot of Arjuna.  May you be victorious.”
